Michelle

Instructor Torquay

Michelle is a passionate movement enthusiast and pole dance instructor who has spent the last 9 years teaching at Kylie J pole studio. Growing up, Michelle was a dedicated gymnast and dancer. She spent countless hours practicing her craft and was always eager to learn new skills. This dedication and passion led her to pursue a career as a school teacher, where she discovered her love for teaching and helping others to achieve their goals.

In addition to her work as a teacher and pole instructor, Michelle also explored the world of burlesque, where she performed in various shows, including her popular performance as The Crab from Moama. Michelle's most recent return to the stage saw her take on the iconic role of Frank N Furter for local events. Michelle's love for burlesque isn't just about the performance aspect; she also enjoys teaching it to empower women, help them embrace their bodies and express themselves through movement.

Michelle's passion for movement and education brought her to start her own company, Saltwater Studio. The studio offers classes in dance, circus, acrobatics and fitness to both children and adults along the Surf Coast. Michelle's dedication to acrobatics and her desire to inspire others doesn't stop at her work as she is also a proud mother of three daughters, whom she wants to inspire and encourage to pursue their passions and live life to the fullest.

Michelle's career as a pole dance instructor has been a natural extension of her love for both dance and teaching. She’s dedicated in helping her students develop their skills, build confidence, and walk away from every class feeling strong and proud.
