About Sirens
siren
/ˈsʌɪr(ə)n/
Someone who is considered to be alluring and fascinating, but also dangerous in some way.
Sirens invites you to step into a world of slink, seduction, and stage presence with our one-of-a-kind competition, taking place on February 28, 2026, at the breathtaking Kylie J Pole Torquay studio.
Inspired by the sultry moves of our heels & flow girlies in Torquay, Sirens is entering the pole comp scene for the first time.
Offering a simpler, more intimidate setting, one pole only, and a performance space close to your audience which allows real connection and sharing of energy, Sirens is more like an in-house studio comp, open for everyone! Founders Kylie Just & Ina Steinnes Gianello were inspired by a gorgeous performance from one of their Torquay students, who's sexy flow was so mesmerising, it got them talking about how much they both wished their was a comp for this particular vibe, the seductiveness, the eye contact, the flow. And from this conversation, "Sirens" was born! Sirens invites you to step into a world of slink, seduction, and stage presence with our one-of-a-kind competition, taking place on February 28, 2026, at the beautiful Kylie J Pole Torquay studio. Positioned in a picturesque beach side town, walking distance from the legendary beaches of the Surf Coast, this summer time pole competition is something different, both in vibes and format. Get ready to become a Siren this summer - and lure your audience into your world...

Categories
Read about our different categories to enter. We are looking for the dancers that embody the spirit of Sirens; performance, flirtation and allure. Categories: 1. Siren’s Flow A celebration of pole choreography This category is all about the art of fluid movement. Floor-to-pole transitions, flow, slinky shapes, beautiful lines, and stage presence. Think liquid sensuality, creative choreography, and confidence. Aerial tricks won’t be judged, but we love to see spins, hair flicks and climbs, and low flow moves that draw the audience in. It’s about execution, self-love, and creating connection. Command the stage. Example: an aerial shoulder mount would not be scored, but a shoulder mount from the floor to show of your leg waves would be. 2. Unveiled Where tease meets artistry. Classic Burlesque-inspired, but open to any style that brings the slow burn of seduction to life. This is the stage for props, effects, costumes, and clever reveals—at least one item must be removed. The pole may be used, but the judging lies in allure, polish, atmosphere, and how deeply you pull the audience into your world. Make us hold our breath as you unzip…anything! Example: You can use props as long as you can carry them all on stage yourself. A sofa? No. A cocktail cart? Sure. 3. Temptress (Instructor’s Category) A playground for our most seasoned performers. This category belongs to instructors, from Kylie J Pole or beyond. Want to show your own brand of temptation and style? This is for you. Expect a fusion of pole, dance, and reveal, all wrapped in stage presence, sensuality, and experience. Here, creativity and the power to entice are everything: hold our attention, tease us, leave us breathless. Example: If you are a current high level Kylie J instructor, or have extensive comp experience, this is the category for you.

About
One Pole, Infinite Possibilities
Each routine uses a single pole, creating an intimate performance that emphasises choreography, musicality, presence, and connection, not big tricks and routines overly packed with choreography and combos.
Artistry Over Acrobatics
We're celebrating the poetry of movement flow, shapes, lines, confidence, costume, audience interaction, and that irresistible show-girl energy. Any style goes.
Community & Confidence
Hosting Sirens at Kylie J Pole Torquay is very fitting. A new comp for a new studio. Be part of something from the very start, and join in our community that celebrates confidence, sass, inclusivity, and our love for and connection to the true roots of pole dance!
Open Invitation
All are welcome - whether you're part of our Kylie J Pole studio, from a local/regional pole studio, or new to the scene. It’s about expression, not status.
